Better Futures Minnesota engages men who have had a history of incarceration, homelessness, poverty, and untreated mental and physical health challenges to help them achieve self-sufficiency and a better future for themselves and their communities. Volunteer Lawyers Network collaborates with Better Futures MN to provide strategically targeted legal services to the men in a variety of areas, particularly family and civil rights, in concert with Better Future’s integrated-care model based on ‘Four Fundamentals’: health, housing, jobs, and coaching.

Better Futures Family Law Advice Clinic: Family law advice is provided by VLN volunteers at a by-appointment clinic held the third Tuesday of each month at Better Futures’ warehouse site in South Minneapolis.

Provision of other legal services is determined on a case-by-case basis.
